Most of my two-dimensional works relate to the sculptural projects. The monoprints usually interpret relationships of earth and sky, planetary movement, celestial alignments, and so forth. They often include chin colle/collage elements from previous prints or digital scans. Formally and theoretically, I am interested in challenging preconceptions (and perceptions) of traditional pictorial space. By layering and interweaving inked elements that reference landscape and celestial objects, impossible or ambiguous spatial relationships are created. I feel that the surprise of confronting ambiguity and the process of considering it may offer viewers a window for conceptual growth and the possibility of raising consciousness.
Note: All prints are on 22" x 30" archival papers; image size approximately 18" x 24".
